June 30, 2008
(Schaumburg).... Anita Forte-Scott was joined by local supporters and lawmakers Tuesday, June 24th 514 W. Wise Road for the Grand Opening of her Schaumberg Campaign Headquarters in her race for the 56th District State Representative.
As a voice to restore fiscal integrity in state government, Forte-Scott was joined by local public officials who applauded her commitment to reign in Springfield’s reckless spending. Local leaders included former Senator Kay Wojcik, State Representative Randy Ramey, Treasurer of Schaumberg Township District Library Board Robert Frankle, Mayor of Hanover Park Rod Craig and Hoffman Estates Environmental Commission member Bob Podgorski.
“By walking and working my way through community neighborhoods, I am privileged to speak with residents on the issues important to their families such as rooting out irresponsible spending, protecting retired teachers’ pensions, eradicating burdensome property taxes and restoring openness to government,” said Forte-Scott.
Forte-Scott’s grand opening follows months of door-to-door visits with area voters where Anita has received overwhelming public support. Establishing a campaign headquarters in Schaumburg early in the race demonstrates Forte-Scott’s pledge to bring fresh ideas, fresh perspectives and a real commitment to people – not politics.
State Representative Randy Ramey praised Forte-Scott’s hard work, “Anita embodies the values of good government, to create a more honest, accountable and responsive government for hard working families.”
